What does Gidgits offer girls who are into doing great information technology?
Gidgits hosts a range of events and competitions each year. We can link girls to other girls who have similar interests and connect them to mentors and role models in the industry.
Our aim is to be active and to show that girls can do anything! Together we hope to help girls develop the confidence, skills and knowledge that will help them succeed not only in the industry - but in life.
Part of the philosophy of Gidgits is that our events will:
- provide girls with challenging and engaging learning experiences
- help girls develop an understanding of the diverse range of career paths in the ICT industry
- be activity based with the majority of activities being 'hands-on'
- involve role models from the industry
- encourage teamwork and friendships between Gidgits
- be fun!
Girls can find out about our events and competitions through our website. This will be updated regularly. The site will also include tutorials that girls anywhere can complete to help them further develop their ICT skills!
